What’s better than getting the chance to relive the automotive scene of the ‘80s and ‘90s? How about doing all that with your friends from GRM?
Editorial Director David S. Wallens and our 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera project car will be attending Friday’s Radwood event during the 2022 Lake Mirror Classic Concours & Car Show.
It all takes place in Lakeland, Florida, October 14-16.
Free admission for Radwood, so join us Friday evening: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Here are a few of our favorite photos from the day:

That was fun. Late night–comedy of errors trying to find food, gas and a bathroom on the way out of Lakeland–but finally home. Lots of cool people/cool cars.
Pics to come.
I paired up with an old friend for the ride home.
And the after-show adventure.
Show ended at 9 p.m., and we were all told that we'd have to clear the field then.
No problem. I went to a parking lot next door to break down the bike. We were chatting and had some people stop by to check out the cars. That might have taken about an hour.
Before leaving town, we both wanted to grab a bite, use the facilities and fuel up.
First gas station: closed.
McDonald's across the street: drive-thru only.
Second gas station: closed.
Third gas station: open!
Second McDonald's: drive-thru only. By now, we're right at the highway on-ramp.
So we walked to a nearby restaurant to clean up and then did the McD's drive-thru.
We ate outside.
So, about an hour and a half after leaving the show area, we finally hit the highway.
Fun times. Would recommend.
