Is Copart the place to go to get deals on limited-edition Mazda Miatas?

Based on the pictures this Miata looks to be an M Edition model, which left the factory with several exclusive features like a Marina Green Mica exterior plus tan interior and convertible top.

Listed as having only "normal wear" as the primary damage, the Miata shows just over 160,000 miles.

Find this 1997 Mazda Miata available from a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Copart.

That makes me sad.

Someone save it.

There's no chance that's going to the crusher, it's too valuable. Someone's either going to get a sweet deal on a nice car, or they'll make bank with an easy flip.

In reply to Tomwas1 :

No.  You do have to be registered with them.  I bought an E46 M3 from them that had been repossessed.  Though the car was drivable they have a policy that purchased vehicles leave on a truck or trailer.

In reply to Tomwas1 :

Depends on your state. State law makes me go through a broker.

If you're buying a salvage title, check your state laws on who can get it titled and inspected correctly. Again, my state you need a special cert.

It has an aftermarket radiator, which depending on the brand would be a good thing.  Would need to source a shift knob but that's no big deal.  Looks like a replacement top with glass rear window which would be a plus for some.  Torn drivers seat bottom, and interior bits  need work but can be sourced.   Could be a good car for the right person.  Hopefully the hood shuts tight.

Says clear title, does that change when sold by copart?  Think I may have to jump in on this.

"Seller Reserve Not Yet Met" - makes me suspicious.

There's a Copart down the street from me, maybe I should register for future deals.  (Moraine OH)
