A more Japanese take on the Family Truckster? This Toyota Cressida checks a lot of boxes–including the exterior imitation wood paneling.

This example is powered by a Japanese-market 6M-GE inline-six that’s mated to a W58 5-speed manual.

The car shows its age cosmetically and is a bit rough around the edges,” acknowledges the seller, but also points out that the Toyota recently completed “another” road trip from the Portland area down to the southern Oregon coast.

Located in Portland, Oregon, this 1979 Toyota Cressida wagon is listed at $5500.

Just noticed the A-pillar radio antenna. Perfect.

This thing is sweet. There are not nearly enough cool wagons these days.

My 80s Hondas had the antenna that went down into the A-pillar. Loved that, until I forgot to put it down in a car wash one time...

The A-pillar antenna is very 1980.

Ugh, Portland, Or.  why does so much cool stuff have to be at least 3,200 miles away all the time...

I dig it, but needs a little more polishing for the price.

It'd look less hackey if the seller added a shift knob, hid the ECU, changed the brake fluid, and put back the headrests

Thanks for sharing these ads. It reminds me of when Bring a Trailer was still cool.
