Toyota built just 2500 examples–just enough to meet WRC Group A homologation rules–with each one equipped with a 3S-GTE turbocharged inline-four good for over 250 horsepower.
Rarity aside, the WRC Edition also received several rally-ready go-fast bits, including a water sprayer to cool the intercooler and virtually all the pieces needed to have a functioning anti-lag system.
