And the all-important gas station photo from the drive home:

Did we mix up the date? Drive to the wrong address?
We arrived at last night’s Miata night to find a parking lot devoid of Miatas.
Doh, now what?
While sitting there alone awkwardly rechecking the event page, we heard the familiar sound of loosely corked Miatas.
Whew.
A few Miatas rolled in.
Then more.
And more and more.
The penalty for arriving 10 minutes early, we guess.
Last night’s Orlando Roadsters gathering, a monthly institution going back more than 20 years, welcomed some 50 Miatas to an Altamonte Springs parking lot–plus other roadsters, a few JDM cars and assorted fans. We again brought our Garage Rescue Miata.
A few dogs were there, too. (Everyone loves dogs, right?)
As always, Orlando Roadsters meets on the last Monday of the month. Details can always be found at the group’s Facebook and Instagram.

I admit, it was. I was like, Ummmmmm, hello?
On the plus side, since I left home a little early, I missed the traffic getting to the interstate.
years ago, C&C was about 5 minutes from my house. I'd intentionally show up early, snag the best parking spot, chat with whomever showed up in the first hour, then leave before the flat brim crowd en masse
I showed up a week early for a PCA meeting. One car was there. No one else showed up. The two of us realized we had the wrong night.

Not sure I’ve ever been that guy before.
People still do car meets in locations they don't have permission for and then whine when someone does a burnout leaving and they get yelled at?
