Hey we're all checked in! Check in is at the GRM tent, because we're nice and loan the SCCA our tent.

We’re not wasting any time trying out the new oil system and fresh rod bearings we fitted into our BMW 435i project. We’re not even going to bother taking it off the trailer after its trip home from BimmerWorld.
[Do we have an engine oiling problem with our BMW 435i?]
Instead, it’s getting wiped down and sent right to the track.
The track, in this case, is Daytona International Speedway, a motorports facility of some renown that also happens to be right across the street from our favorite Chinese buffet, and is, on this lovely Florida Thursday, hosting a daytime edition of the SCCA’s Track Night in America program.
TNiA is a low-cost, low-stress way for drivers to experience some of America’s destination tracks with their friends in a chill, non-competitive environment.
As the name implies, TNiA events are usually held in the early evening throughout the hot summer months, but this special Thursday at Daytona will take place during daylight hours, letting drivers experience the high banks before the typical Florida afternoon showers roll in.
We’ll check in to this thread between sessions and let you know how the BMW is holding up. And, if you’re on-site, stop by and say hello and maybe grab some stickers (note to self, fill pockets with stickers before leaving the house).

Too late.
I think I'm going to declare it cured. Lowest oil pressure was a momentary drop to around 50psi. I like this math
I can feel the humidity of the first photo from here. Thats my usual view through my glasses stepping out of my A/C into humid hell.
Glad the car has oil pressure! Success!
Heh, I see fellow CFR autocrossers Ryan with the SC300 and Rachel with the Corolla hatch behind the 435i
