Nice, nice work. And I am totally jealous.
1/24 Scale Model of a 1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. This car started life as a 1970 SS model that I built as a custom with shaved moldings, blue metalflake paint, 3 2-Bbls on a Big Block, and Prowler wheels. I decided it was gaudy and after seeing the Monte in Tokyo Drift I decided to make a copy. Note that since then AMT released a “model” of the Tokyo Drift car which is horribly wrong (22” dubs, flat hood, small block, etc). Build: Heavily customized “NASCAR for the street”, based on Tokyo Drift car Paint: Yellow Primer and Gray Primer Interior: NASCAR Caged, racing seats, extinguisher, Nitrous, gauges, and more Wheels: Black old school “5-hole” Banjo-style NASCAR wheels with Yellow-letter Goodyear NASCAR slicks Decals: None Drivetrain: Big Block Chevy built as a 572 Hardcore, Dominator carburetor, braided hoses, 4-Speed T-10 transmission Details: Painted “splotched” to match the movie car, sidepipes, fiberglass bumpers, cowl hoodscoop Build Time: 9 Hours Build Year: 2006
