2014 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet

My first Porsche. For modern sports cars I’ve been a BMW owner for many years. But I thought it was time to own a Porsche. This one is a 991.1 series which started in 2012 and ended in 2016 when they moved on to 991.2 with all 911s having turbos. This car is a naturally aspirated 3.8 L flat six. 390 hp and 325 lb ft torque. I’m the second owner. Bought it with 16,500 miles from the original dealer where the first owner traded it in. It’s a metallic black with brown tones. Called Basalt. Interior is a light tan called Luxor. This car has almost every option available. It is a PDK transmission with three shifting programs- standard, Sport and Sport+. Sport exhaust. Active motor mounts. Sports Chrono. And many other options for handling, power and comfort. It’s a blast to drive. But it’s capabilities far exceed any available roads. Unlike my vintage sports cars this one is loafing most of the time. Windows up 100+ feels like 60.
