Stalk-N-Stien is a 2009 replica of a 1962 Lotus 7 with a modified LS1 / 6 Speed. The car weighs 1600lbs wet, and dynoed at about 371 RWHP and 350 ftlbs of torque starting at 2500 RPM and straight line to 6500 RPM. This was on a very stingy dyno. The tuner took it for a spin and came back grinning. He says it is quicker than a 600 HP vette he tunes for a guy that makes most of the Vipers look bad at VIR. This is the first production Brunton Stalker kit designed for the LS series GM engine.
The Stalker is finished, and has run it’s first autocross. I’m going to put some …

That looks just insanely fast! Did Dennis ever update the roll cage design? He used to tie the front of the cage into the light gauge longeron, which didn't seem nearly solid enough for my tastes.
I'm not sure what the older cages looked like. I feel very secure in this one. I'm sure if that was the only hold back from building a Stalker, Dennis would build the cage any way you wanted it as long as he felt it was safe.
Getting that power to the ground is very tricky on a car like that. If you look at Dennis' videos, he doesn't work the stering wheel much, rotating is initiated with the throttle, and you simply give it as much as you can before you loose grip. When I did track days it was always frustrating how the AWD guys could get on the go pedal quite a bit earlier than I coming out of a turn. OTOH, with that amount of power, once you do hook up, it'll be out of this world!
