383 cid / 400 bhp engine built when I worked for Sonny’s Racing in Lynchburg,VA in the early 90’s. The car gets 8 to 10 mpg, but gas was cheap back then. I stayed out of school for a year to work at Sonny’s before graduating from VA Tech with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I learned a lot about building engines and was able to help Sonny secure additional marine business through my knowledge of fuel injection systems. It was win-win!
