I love sports cars. I’ve had a 1969 Triumph GT6+, two 1973 Ford Capri 2600 V6s, and a 1986 Porsche 944. I sold the Porsche to help with the downpayment on my house - and a few years ago became again able to afford another sportscar. After a lengthy comparison of purchase price, esthetics, performance potential, reliability and and maintainability, I finally decided on a 1993+ Toyota MR2 Turbo. After an equally painstaking search, I found a straight one in black, 1993, never wrecked, with 80,000 original miles. I’ve replaced all the interior panels that were worn or damaged by previous owners’ modifications, reupholstered the seats, replaced the carpeting, added Yokohama tires, Konig wheels, TRD sway bars, Koni struts, TRD strut braces, TRD Quickshifter, an Omori boost gauge, HKS Turbo Timer, a Blitz Boost Controller, an Apexi Intake, and am now working on the remaining modifications to get engine output up to 300 bhp.
