That is a good looking car and a great price. Are you still working on the Spitfire? Will it make another installment in CMS?
This 1987 325is is my second car. It was kindly donated to me by a generous reader, and rough didn’t even begin to describe it. After 2 years of solid work (and replacing nearly everything on the car) it’s now my daily driver and weekend autocross car. I just finished a complete repaint, which somehow took all summer (and used almost enough sandpaper to cover a football field)
Long story short, I spent my summer working at The Body Werks, a local body …
Today, we finally mounted the new wheels, TR Racing C1s, with Kumho Ecsta XS tires. …

I got my first E30 325is at 22 after driving a series of boring econoboxes. You've got a hell of a head start!
Thanks, once I finish putting the interior in the Spitfire, it will go to my dad, who has always wanted a Spitfire that doesn't overheat or take Mazda parts. I think there will be more stories about it in the future.
Hasn't *every* Spitfire owner always wanted one that doesn't overheat?
Like American bumpers, only with a thin mustache and funny hat. Really... they're thinner and don't stick out as far, because they don't have to meet the US crash standards.
Where is the cars page? I am working on my '86 325e for commuter duty and still have under $1k in the car. Watch out for your oilpan, they are a PITA to replace and easy to break.
I have always loved 80s 3s. This will be an awesome car foe high school! Great things came out of the 80's (look at my age...proof enough!) Sweet car man, congrats. I dont think you could be learning from a better source when it comes to rehabing one of these beauties than GRM!
I like the new photo! Blacked-out kidney grille also looks great, btw.
Thats a good looking BMW. I've been working on a 85 325s for about a year. I'll be sending in some pictures next week. I love my BMW. Wish I would have got one sooner. Its my 165th car but its one of the best I've owned.
