My best friend got one for graduation in '70. Had some good times in that car.
This is a stock, original non-appearance group 914 1.7L. The only modification is an adjustable spring setup in the rear. The rest of the car is entirely stock all the way down to the blue coil. But don’t worry, I still drive the piss out of it :) I bought this from a local Porsche fanatic. I have taken meticulous care of it. It’s not a concours car, it’s a survivor. I’ve kept it in survivor status. The car has seen brake failure and even an electrical fire. But I rebuilt all of it and have kept it running and driving. It’s been a fantastic little car. I don’t plan on keeping it garaged 24/7, cars are meant to be driven and enjoyed, even if they are survivor status. Just as I believe beautiful cars are meant to be appreciated, I think they should be enjoyed just as much, otherwise, what’s the point? I love my little 914, been a good little car. Not the fastest car or the best car in the world, but I love it.
