This was purchased to replace the outgoing WRX wagon as my daily driver, but quickly found itself running the cones in STU. It’s much too fun to autocross, so the CSP Miata build is getting sold. Major mods include: Turninconcepts AST 4100 coilovers (500f/560r) and Vorshlag camber plates, RaceComp Engineering sway bars, Cobb catted downpipe, Girodisc brake rotors, Sparco Evo driver’s seat, 18x9.5 TR Motorsport MT1 wheels and 245/40-18 BFG g-Force Rival tires. Steven Rankins at 42 Autosports performed an STU-legal dyno tune, making the car a lot safer AND more fun to autocross. With a much better prep level this year, the car has proved quite capable. I’m finally able to do something with the tough STU pax ;) I plan to add an equal-length header, a new tune, and a matching passenger’s seat relatively soon. After that, double adjustable dampers (likely MCS) and much higher spring rates are planned.
