Chevrolet Corvair

Last weekend we went and picked up my new project car. It is a 1964 corvair 700 sedan. It has a later 110hp engine that was put in the car in 2001. The car is original paint and I plan on polishing it and trying to keep it. The previous owner replaced the floors but only used 4 rivets to hold the entire front floor on and left several open holes so that will all be getting replaced. The seats are just sitting in the car and bolted to blocks of wood. I plan on putting an original upholstery bench seat in the front. I want to keep the car very original looking but do some work on the suspension/brakes to try to make it a little more drivable.

That car is starting to grow on me. Once again you have proven that you have a better car head then I ever will. I cant wait to see your vision of this one!

Looks like a car that ran a track day at Lime Rock a few years ago. Wasn't fast, but just ran and ran.

hey there...i'm in Allentown PA and have owned my 64 700 since 1985 - first car back in high school and am the second owner. The car has 64,000 original miles and other than door panels and non rubber carpet (I replaced that when i didn't know better) it's restored as it was when it left the factory. Would be fun to drive down and see yours sometime...you'd be the first I've seen other than mine!
