Got the car last may of 2012, original owner, records since july 91, has 105k miles on her, only thing I have done so far is the complete FM timing belt kit, NGK plugs and wires, mishimoto 2 row aluminum radiator, samco upper silicone hose, and FM lower turbo silicone hose. I have the FM head gasket set, big and small shifter boots, rear main seal, all the seals to re-seal the trans, and some other things that will be done soon, I will post pics when the jobs start, I will have pics of the car up as soon as I get back from being at sea (navy). FM2 kit with GT2560R will be going on next year, just want a fast daily/track car, nothing crazy then I will be painting the car myself, but I will document everything as it happens, 3-23-2014 I started about 3 weeks ago, sent my cylinder head out to get rebuilt and got it back 2 weeks later looks gorgeous. at this point I polished up the intake manifold and man is it shinny,I will be painting the intake manifold black, and the valve cover titanium grey, just like the msm color. I bought an Exedy level two cluth kit because the plans are to turbocharge it in the next 2 years, the car had just a tad over 110k on it whenI disassembled it. replacing everything rubber under the hood, by the way I am doing my own port matching on the intake and exhaust side to the manifolds and the head, I am keeping this car for the entirety of my life so I am upgrading gradually but as of right now mostly restoring it. it’s already 23 years old, so I would like it in top notch shape when I am 60. Things to come in the next 12 months are a complete FM suspension kit, all poly bushings, FM sways, a MSM torsen swap, roll bar and butterfly brace. there are a few small dents in the body that I am going to have a body shop take out because this summer I am going to repaint the car the same color as my old mazdaspeed miata, and I would love to get an FM2 kit. and I would call the car done at that point! then after everything is done then I will start saving money for a built engine (1.6) with radical head work, and I want just 300RWHP. it will be my daily, and when I get out of the service I am going to buy a 2002 viper acr, but just restoring the car is alot of fun, and the end result is awesome. she’s gonna be a life long friend (the miata). love the site and I will upload many pictures soon,
