I'm in the process of a Bugeye restoration. You mentioned shimming the front shock to give 1 to 1 1/2 degrees negative camber. How thick should the shims be? This seems like a cheaper way to get the same results. Thanks, in advance.

I think the answer might be both. Our springs were shimmed nearly an inch, which is way too much. I would say 1/4-1/2" is more appropriate. The offset bushings are inexpensive as well.

If I remember correctly disc brakes were an option on MK1's. They were not the Lockheed brand but Dunlap. The option of discs was so expensive only a handful were sold.
Very rare.
