At the last NATA event at Road Atlanta, Feras Qartoumy fought new car gremlins, yet still won his class. This time out, at the Pikes Peak International Raceway, it was smoother sailing for Qartoumy, who emerged victorious in the NATA Unlimited class.
ICYMI, the NATA Championship Presented by Grassroots Motorsports seeks to crown the best of the best in time trials among Global Time Attack, Gridlife and SCCA competition.
Rules are easy to follow, as cars are classed simply by tire: Unlimited, Large 200tw and Small 200tw. That’s it.
Global Time Attack sanctioned the PPIR event. While Qartoumy broke the GTA rear-wheel-drive track record, he was still disappointed that he missed his overall track record set a few years ago.

In the Large Tire 200tw, Rigo Grajeda set the GTA Street track record for rear-wheel drive cars en route to the class win.
In Small Tire 200tw action, Ernie Ramirez, in a Mitsubishi Evolution X, earned the best time. He also set the GTA Enthusiast AWD track record.
What’s Next?
